Functions of Your IPOD That You Might Not Know

Get Screen Shots Copied to Your Computer

Maybe you want to show a friend your latest wallpaper, or perhaps you wish to keep a log of your trendy backgrounds. Or, you are running low on battery power and need to show your friend that you managed to surpass his highest hangman score. Fortunately, it is simple to take screenshots of whatever is showing on the iPod Touch. Firstly, press down the power key whilst holding the home key down at the same time, until a camera shutter sounds. Now, navigate to your photo app to find the screenshot. Lastly, with your iPod connected to your computer, go to to ‘My Computer’ and click on the iPod image. Then, right click the screenshot, choose Copy, navigate to your preferred folder, then right click and choose Paste.

Keyboard Umlauts

Umlauts are the two small accents (or dots) that display over vowels in languages such as German. The iPod’s touch keypad does not feature these characters by default, however you can still access them. The method is to press the keypad letter and hold it down. A range of accents will then display, including the umlauts you need. This function appears in all apps that also have keypads.

Get Your Touch Cleaned Affordably and Safely

Your local chemist or eye care store will probably stock cloths for cleaning glasses, which work well too.

Similar to everything humans get their hands on, grime and oil can accumulate on the Touch. Happily, there’s a scratch free and safe solution to get your iPod cleaned. You will require a normal glass cleaner (not based on ammonia), along with a specialized glass cleaning towel to ensure that you don’t harm the screen. Of course, screen scratches are similar to windshield cracks — eventually, you will need to replace them.
